Sinus Disease

CT Scans are the only way to accurately diagnosis chronic sinusitis. Most of our locations now have a MiniCAT Scanner or Xoran Scanner. These new scanners only take 40 seconds for adults and 20 seconds for children. The scanner resembles one that you see at the dentist's office. You sit upright and the top of the machine circles around your head taking a picture of your nasal and sinus cavities. These scanners have significantly lower radiation than a full body scanner. The results are instant so the physician and patient are able to review the images that day. The physician can explain what the images mean, can directly see the problem, make a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan, and explain it to the patient right away.
